2020-12-22-Pastor Ko’s Update

The following message was spoken by Pastor Ko. A sister helped transcribe it.

Greetings to you brothers and sisters!

Thanks be to the Lord, and thank you all for praying for me all this time. My breathing condition has improved in the past week, and food intake by mouth also is getting a little better. To have the feeding tube be removed, I must meet the standard set by the doctor for food intake by mouth.

That goal is just ten percent of normal intake, but it is work. Please continue to pray for me and ask the Lord to help me.

Thanks to the Lord, we have now moved in to an apartment in St. Louis, where we’ll be staying for a month or two. Thanks to the Lord, St. Louis’s brothers and sisters are very loving and are taking great care of us. They helped us with accommodations, provided some furniture, and arranged a schedule to have food delivered to us every day. The situation here in the apartment is very convenient: only a 10-minute drive away from the hospital, much closer than the previous 30 minutes. I thank God from the bottom of my heart for the love brothers and sisters have shown us.

Thank the Lord. These days I am often reminded by Psalm 16: “I said to the LORD, ‘You are my Lord; I have no good thing besides You.’” God reminds me that although my health is not good and progress is slow, I should constantly remind myself that God is my Lord, and I should look upon Him more and fix my eyes on Him. May the Spirit of God continue to help me so that I know that all my benefits are in God, and that my hope is in Him. With the Lord, I can move on. Please continue to pray for me that not only I will be healed physically, but also that my spirit would ascend to trust the Lord more.

Please also pray for the upcoming CWC Winter Conference, Discipleship Training Camp, and Bible Camp. Pray that more people would receive spiritual cultivation, especially in Discipleship Training Camp and Bible Camp. Thank the Lord! Many brothers and sisters have signed up for these meetings. May the Lord help the participants, so that they are not only built-up spiritually, but also that they become the elite Christian soldiers who are not afraid of difficulties and can run forward for the Lord. Please pray for the CWC coworkers, especially Sister Cindy Chiang, Pastor CCharles Huang and Brother Qinglong Liang for their heavy workload in serving and teaching in all these meetings. May the Lord grant them grace upon grace, strength upon strength.

I aim to suspend these updates because of the upcoming CWC meetings and next report to you around January 9, after all the meetings are over.

God bless you all!
