2007-02 (February Prayer Letter)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Happy Chinese New Year! May grace and peace of the Lord be with you all year round.

December through February is the busiest time for Sister Cindy. After the Winter Camps she has a heavy office work-load, such as accounting (including the government requirements), offering receipts, etc. Pray the Lord to give her wisdom and strength to handle all these duties.

Pastor Joel Li has spent much time to outreach the undergraduate students in the churches. He is also busy equipping the coworkers in Lawrence and Manhattan. Pray that the Church in Lawrence will be able to find a long term facility for their meetings.

Eight Campus Bible Study Groups and churches are within 2 driving hours from Iowa City where Sister Vivian lives. She has been used by God to minister to them and also become the blessing of many people in those cities. Please pray for her traveling safety especially in the winter time. May the Lord give her wisdom on how to shepherd His flocks.

Bro. Dennis Wong lives in Fayetteville, AR. The Chinese Church in Fayetteville has been blessed through his ministry. He also regularly helps the Chinese Church in Little Rock, AR which is about 3.5 hours away. Please pray for him and his family.

Sister Kuan has been serving in Columbia. Beside the ministry to seniors and women, she cares for many students too. Her ministry relieves much of my workload, letting me reach other campuses.

After a few weeks at CWC for all the winter meetings, I am back to Columbia (MO) and keep serving in the Church. During weekdays, I am busy with many different ministries for the Columbia church and the CWC. During weekends, I help many campus groups in Arkansas, Mississippi and many other places. Please remember me in the prayers.

This year we have quite a few snow and ice storms. Alan Stephan repeatedly plowed the snow for the Center and also for the communities’ gravel road. Otherwise our neighbors and we would not get out. He also helps with the dining room construction besides his routine maintenance work. So, pray for him, his wife and his health. We wish to be able to use the dining room in the March Gospel camp. Please also pray for the project.

Indeed, Gospel Camp is just around the corner! That’s March 16 to March 19, 2007. Pastor Rev. T.K. Chuang (Boston, MA), a gifted evangelist, will be one of our key-note speakers. As in the past, the Chinese Church in Christ (South Valley, CA) will also send the mission team to come over and help. Please pray for the meeting and also start to invite the nonbelievers to attend. You may check our website for additional information.

The Holy Land Study Tour will be held from June 18 to 30, 2007. We will follow the footprints of Apostle Paul (and some of Jesus’ earthly journey in Jerusalem area) and travel to 3 counties: Turkey, Greece and Israel. Please visit our web for more information. Early application is much appreciated!

May God bless you!

Billy (Pastor and Director)
