2007-04 (April Prayer Letter)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Greetings from the Christian Witness Center at Warsaw, Missouri. May grace and peace to you and your family from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Ministry and Meeting Updates:

  1. Gospel Camp
By the grace of God manifest through the hard work of speakers, mission teams, and counselors, the gospel is spread. At Gospel Camp, six people accepted the Lord as their personal Savior. Four more are clearer about their faith. We also saw several brothers and sisters stand up and dedicate their lives to the Lord to love Him more and serve Him more faithfully. “There was great joy in that city.” (Acts 8:8).
  2. Holy Land Trip
Praise God, so far 31 people have joined this trip! At the end of February we encountereddifficulties.High gasoline prices caused an airfare increase. This and schedule issues lead to many communications with Jerusalem Travel Agent. Thanks be to God, now we are almost settled for all arrangements. Starting from Jerusalem, we plan to visit Jericho, the Dead Sea (Jesus’ Footprints) and continue on Apostle Paul’s Missionary journey to Ephesus, Colossae, Troas, Philippi, Thessalonica, Athens and Corinth. If you wish to join, contact us immediately.
  3. May Discipleship and Lay-Minister Training
May Discipleship Training will be held from May 20 to 25.The Lay-Minister Training (forworking people only) will be held from May 25 to 28. God has prepared Pastor Timothy Lin and Pastor Chih-Hao Shen to be our speakers. The application forms will be out soon. Please prepare your hearts to attend.
  4. Youth Camp Date Change—June10-16Due to many winter snow days in the Midwest, many schools will not end until early June. For this reason the Youth Camp will be postponed to June 10-16. Please make a note on this. Our speakers will be Pastor Peter Fong and Brother Barry Edwards. This is Youth Discipleship Training Camp, so full-time attendanceand born-again Christians are required.
  5. Bible Camp Will be held from July 29 to Aug. 4. This time we will study Pauline Epistles. Our speakers are Pastor Chin-Yen Cheng and Sister Grace Lee. Since January areas such as Iowa City, Columbia, and Kansas City have kept their weekly small Bible Study Groups focused on preparation. They have unceasingly and faithfully followed the syllabus and read those Epistles. Application due date is June 13!

Dining Room Construction
Praise the Lord! We were able to start using the new dining room in the recent Gospel Camp! Compared to our old temporary dining room—now repurposed as a bigger workshop room—this dining room feels new and is big. With the dining tables I bought from an auction, we are very happy with this new environment. It is not crowded anymore. During Gospel Camp, some of our old kitchen equipments was upgraded and madefood preparation more efficient. Last weektwo brothers from Texas came over and helped us voluntarily build a new walk-in cooler adjacent to this new dining room. Thanks be to God. When we looked and used this new dining room, our hearts are full of thanksgiving. We also thank God for your generous giving making this dining room possible. Currently the workers are wrapping up the last small part. Please continueremembering the works in your prayers.

The school year is close to the end. Please remember all the coworkers on each campus. May the Lord give them wisdom and love to serve faithfully in each school.

“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15).

Serving God together with you,
